Animal Rights

Animal lovers around the world are the first to stand up for animals when it comes to ensuring they are treated fairly. Because animals do play a major role in the lives of humans, there are people that want to make sure animals live healthy lives and serve their purpose, especially when animal supporters are firm believers of God. On the other hand, animals may not always know what is best for them and because of this they get taken advantage of by people who abuse them or use them for scientific research that may lead to physical harm. Is enough being done to preserve animal rights and if not what else should be done?

Animal rights vary from animal to animal with many creatures having unique laws and standards. Some animals are on their way to being extinct while others are producing in mass numbers that could turn them into a problem to deal with. There are laws in place to protect most animals and if you break or violate them you can expect to be punished. Many people have no problem in protecting animals because they are a living thing that has needs and feelings like humans. But, what about those that neglect such needs and feelings? This is a growing problem since more animals in recent years have been abused, harmed and tortured.

Animals have made positive contributions in medicine but animal rights supporters feel researchers should find another way to test products. Many feel it is wrong to use an animal that is unable to decide whether they want to be tested on. There are tests using animals that may not have serious effects, but people often wonder is it necessary to use animals in the first place. There are groups and organizations that work hard in helping animals receive the treatment they deserve as living creatures, but others who can care less about animals feel such efforts is money being wasted.

The good news is it seems more animals are living longer lives with new species being discovered. There have been strides made to help preserve animals on the list of being extinct, but there is still work that needs to be done. More animal activists are coming up with ways to help animals maintain their rights. This is still an area of complexity to understand since some laws have been untouched regarding animal rights for years.
